Laboratories that work with hazardous materials should consider keeping a small chemical spill kit on hand. Universal Spill Response Kits can be ordered from Fisher Scientific and many other safety supply vendors.
Below is one example of a laboratory sized spill kits. These kits can typically be used for most chemicals with the exception of HF or concentrated sulfuric acid but the manufacturer instructions will specify any limitations.
