We welcome Advant-Edge Solutions of Middle Atlantic, Inc. (ASI) as Penn’s new infectious waste hauler, replacing Sharps Medical Waste Services (Curtis Bay). ASI will come on campus the week of February 3-7 to exchange reusable sharps waste containers and regulated medical waste collection containers. Details of any changes in the pickup schedule will be communicated to business administrators and lab staff over the upcoming weeks. Business administrators for labs with a current Reusable Sharps Container Program accounts must generate a new PO# and then set up an account at WASTE PORTAL LINK. Any labs looking to opt in to the program should ask their business administrator to generate a PO# and set up an account in the portal as well. Waste containers will not be picked up and emptied until the new account has been generated.
