Laboratory Orientation Registration for Non-Affiliates Working in Penn Labs
Non-affiliated students (undergraduates or postgraduates from other universities or colleges, or high school students) who plan to work in a Penn laboratory are required to take Introduction to Laboratory and Biological Safety at Penn for Non-Affiliates.
Please register below. Once registered, you will receive a link to begin your orientation. The link you receive will bring you directly to the laboratory orientation page. Once orientation is complete, you will be forwarded to a confirmation page and can print a certificate. If you would rather take in-person orientation, look for dates here page.
High school students also need to provide a consent form to the research Principal Investigator or program coordinator.
Note: If a student will continue to work in a Penn laboratory after the summer or their program ends, the student will need to take the normal Penn laboratory safety training curriculum through Workday Learning, including Management of Hazardous Waste. EHRS training course descriptions can be found on the EHRS Workday Learning Selection Guide page.
Penn students do not need to complete this registration form. Penn undergraduate or graduate students who work in labs must be enrolled in laboratory safety courses through Workday Learning.
